Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne said Arabian countries provide
a higher contribution to strengthen the world economy. There are about 30.8
billion of Muslims in the world and a majority of them live in Arabian
countries with full of oil resources. Therefore, the leaders of Arabian
countries are dedicated to protect and to duly manage the oil resource in order
to strengthen the world economy
United Arab Emirate’s Ambassador in Sri Lanka H.E.Mr.
Abdulhamid A.K. Al-Mulla expressed these views at the meeting he had with Prime
Minister D.M. Jayaratne at Visumpaya, the Official Residence of Prime Minister,
(14).
Taking to the Ambassador Prime Minister pointed out that the
outside pressure for countries such as Syria, Iran, Iraq and Egypt has become a
political issue he and emphasized that some Western countries are responsible
for this situation. As a result, the civil defense and the sovereignty of the
country have been violated.
However, many parties have not paid their attention to this
matter and pointed out that United Arab Emirate can be considered as one of the
major countries equipped with oil resource. Economic development of the United
Arab Emirate bears a significance importance in the world economy. Prime
Minister who reminded of the attempt of Arabian leaders to integrate large and
small countries during in 1940s pointed out that a special contribution was
received from those countries to uphold the world peace.
Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne told that he would like to mention
the cooperation of the Middle East countries including United Arab Emirate in a
time which H.E. the President Mahinda Rajapaksha has launched a development
strategy in the country.
Ambassador H.E.Mr. Abdulhamid A.K. Al-Mulla brought to the
notice of the Prime Minister that the African countries are still in the
poverty level thought they are full of oil resource. Therefore, the proper
management of the oil resource would pave the way to contribute directly to the
world economy and to have a rapid economic growth.
The Ambassador pointed out that Sri Lanka is a country full
of natural beauties. And he further revealed that he could understand the pulse
of the Sri Lankan during the spent six months. The government of Sri Lanka is
making every effort to enhance the economy of the country. He said that the
landing of a plane belonging to the United Arab Emirate at the Mattala
Rajapaksha Airport will strengthen the solidarity between UAE and Sri Lanka.
There are major air routes are across UAE. The Ambassador pointed out that several
flights are taken place Sri Lanka and UAE.
Economy of the United Arab Emirate is being further
strengthened. Therefore, Sri Lanka will receive continuous support from the
United Arab Emirate to uplift the economic process including the infrastructure
facilities, the Ambassador assured.
Prime Minister’s Secretary Mr. S. Amarasekera and some other
personnel too attended this meeting.

හිමිකර ගත් රටක් වශයෙන් එක්සත් අරාබි එමීර් රාජ්‍ය සැලකිය හැකියැයි ප්‍රකාශ
කළේය. එක්සත් අරාබි එමීර් රාජ්‍යයේ ආර්ථික

1940 දශකයේ දී ලොකු කුඩා රටවල් එක්කිරීමට
අරාබි නායකයන් ගත් උත්සාහය සිහිපත් කළ අග්‍රාමාත්‍යතුමා, එමගින් ලෝක සාමය

ශ්‍රී ලාංකික හදගැස්ම මනාව හදුනාගත් බව සදහන් කළේය. ශ්‍රී ලංකා ආණ්ඩුව මෙරට ආර්ථික මට්ටම ඉහළ
නැංවීම සදහා සුවිශාල කැපකිරීමක් සිදු කරමින් සිටී. මත්තල රාජපක්ෂ ගුවන් තොටුපොළ විවෘත කරන
අවස්ථාවේ දී එක්සත් අරාබි එමීර් රාජ්‍යයේ ගුවන් යානයක් එහි ගොඩබැස්සවීමට ක්‍රියා
කිරීම මගින් තම රට සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකාව අතර සුහදතාව තවදුරටත් වර්ධනය වන බව තානාපතිතුමා
කියා සිටියේය. එක්සත් අරාබි එමීර් රාජ්‍ය
හරහා ලොව ප්‍රමුඛ ජාත්‍යන්තර ගුවන් ගමන් රැසක් වැටී තිබේ. ඒ අතරින් ශ්‍රී ලංකාව සහ සිය රට අතර ගුවන්
ගමන් වාර ගණනාවක් සිදුවන බව ද තානාපතිවරයා ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.
